caber Posted November 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2013 We booked our January cruise on a guaranteed basis. The cruise is now fully booked and past the final payment date. Are Princess likely to now allocate the cabins or could we still have a last minute wait?
Pam in CA Posted November 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2013 We booked our January cruise on a guaranteed basis. The cruise is now fully booked and past the final payment date. Are Princess likely to now allocate the cabins or could we still have a last minute wait? Your guess is as good as ours. It could be today or at the pier. There's no way to know ahead of time. caber Posted November 11, 2013 Author #3 Share Posted November 11, 2013 That is what I have heard but hoped because it was full things might happen sooner than later. :(

paul929207 Posted November 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Oh dear, that`s not good. Since you will have a cabin, waiting for the specific cabin is not a real problem.
Meanee Posted November 11, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2013 I was in "panic mode" once over something very similar. I booked inside guarantee on Allure of the Seas, and didn't get room allocation until 3 days before the cruise. When they notified us of our cabin number, it was a balcony. You won't be standing in port, waving the ship good bye.
Pushka Posted November 11, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 11, 2013 (edited) I was in "panic mode" once over something very similar. You won't be standing in port, waving the ship good bye. Yes, that's what we've been told too. I guess you have to experience this whole process before really trusting it. And none of it would bother me if I'd booked the lowest grade cabin. But you know what my fear is? We'll get there and they will give us an inside and tell us it's that or nothing, but we've booked a balcony. Needless to say if that happens then CC will know all about it. It's funny with cruises. We never bother doing this with Hotels! Edited November 11, 2013 by Pushka
Pushka Posted November 13, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 13, 2013 Yay, Cabin allocation is made - just over 24 hours out. A very slight upgrade (apparently). All good.
