cj'smom Posted November 11, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2013 Seeking info on the family inside cabins that can accommodate 5 on the Sun. Anyone ever done one of these with 5 people? How crowded was it? I'm guessing there are 2 pull down beds, but how did they accommodate the 5th person? We are rarely in the cabin during the day but wonder how crowded it would be for sleeping. Would have 2 adults and 3 teens. Also, it seems like some of the 5 person cabins shown on the deck plans look more spacious than others. Anyway to see the actual sf of a given cabin? Thanks. Sauer-kraut Posted November 11, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2013 I think it might be 2 twins with a trundle between and the 2 bunks
rigs32 Posted November 11, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 11, 2013 I might be wrong, but I would think those cabins are intended for a 5th person that is a small child. At night your cabin will be nothing but bed space. And all 5 would be sharing one bathroom and limited closet space. I wouldn't do it.

Yes with 5, it would have been like an inside sleeping 4 on say the Pearl. Hear is a link to a thread on the Sun. I posted some pics of our inside cabin. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1793170&page=
BlueJai Posted November 11, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 11, 2013 I had an inside room last year - 9304. It had two twins pushed together, 1 sofa which I assume would sleep 2 and one pull down. I would think once everything was pulled out it would be a little cramped.
Sauer-kraut Posted November 11, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 11, 2013 The sofas on the SUN will only sleep one, the bolsters just come off the back.

The beds for my husband and I were pushed together and next to our bed was a sleeper that unfolded to a double bed each night. A twin came folded down from the wall. I was pleasantly surprised by the amount of room in the cabin. Our boys are 14 and 12. Our room was 172 sq. feet, I believe. When all the beds were down, I couldn't walk between the sofa bed and our bed...but during the day it was fine. Sent using the Cruise Critic forums app That's what I thought, that the sofa would sleep 2. The room was a pretty good size and I think you could manage. cj'smom Posted November 12, 2013 Author #9 Share Posted November 12, 2013 Thanks for the input everyone! I'm not sure if the cruise we are looking at will work out for us or not but with these kids sail free promos and the knowledge that we could get all five of us in a reasonably priced cabin, it sure is tempting!
