Does anyone know of a coffee plantation tour in Puerto Limon of nearby? I've also read that there are Juan Valdez coffee shops, any information about there? Thanks in advance.

The only Juan Valdez I saw was in Cartegena

 

We just walked to the supermarket but they only had ground coffee, some stalls inside the port gates had bags of coffee beans

 

Maybe try a google search for tours to plantations

I would suggest the Golden Bean coffee company if you can arrange it. Beautiful drive from Puerto Limon through the banana plantations and up into the mountains for a tour of a small boutique coffee company and nearby coffee fields. My wife and I did this about 5 years ago and enjoyed it.

Thanks funwardbound for this info---about far from the port is it???? Is there some sort transportation available to get there?
