what to do in San Juan?

HI,

i am posting this here b/c after looking in the ports of call section i don't see much regarding "shore excursions" specifically. i am sailing the RCL Explorer on aug. 21st. according to the shore excursion list, it seems like there are only about three or four things to do. walking tour, driving tour, and the rainforest. i have already done the rainforest and since i am traveling w/my 2 1/2 yr old, i am looking for a beach type thing to do. does anyone have any suggestions? are there any hotels that let you come for a few hours?
