NCL excursion Cayo Levantado Beach Escape

I will be cruising on the NCL Gem in January 2014 and was wondering what is the difference with these shore excursions in Samana: Cayo Levantado Beach Escape Plus and Cayo Levantado Beach Escape.

 

They both have the same description, but have different prices. Does anyone know the big difference between both? Which is better?

The more expensive one includes the use of kayaks and snorkeling equipment, while the cheaper one is beach only.

it is so beautiful there~~went in "2008" on the NCL Sprit! I only did the beach day!:)

I agree. It's a beautiful beach. We were there in October (just did the beach day too. $14 I think.)

the plus was really nice! We were able to use snorkel equipment, kayaks, rafts, floats, canoes? and noodles. They cleaned the equipment really well, and the only time we had to wait was early in the morning when everyone got there and started renting things. You get a wristband to show that you're "plus." It's a really nice beach and the "wall of minnows" was fun to see snorkeling!

We took the beach only. The "upgraded" version also includes a its own beach area, but it didn't offer any more space than the rest of the beach.

 

I asked the person how much to rent a float and was told it was $10. I asked how much for two floats and he said $10. I told him that I had to get my cash and that I would be back. When I got back to our chairs, I turned around and he was standing there with two floats.
