stkdog Posted November 25, 2013 #1 Share Posted November 25, 2013 We are interested in the stay and park option. If anyone has any recommendations I would be grateful.
grand isle joe Posted November 25, 2013 #2 Share Posted November 25, 2013 The Radisson is right near the port and has a shuttle to the ship. The kids love the pool. Check out the web site.
jalves Posted November 25, 2013 #3 Share Posted November 25, 2013 We've stayed at the Residence Inn before two of our cruises. Very nice property with an excellent free breakfast.
moki'smommy Posted November 26, 2013 #4 Share Posted November 26, 2013 The three closest are the Residence Inn, COuntry Inn and Suites, and Radisson. The Rad has the best pool. Residence is overall nicest.
HeyHeyJP Posted November 26, 2013 #5 Share Posted November 26, 2013 Have only stayed at Country Inn & Suites. Liked the hotel itself, but the shuttle to port was horrible. Cramped going both ways and waited 45 minutes for shuttle to arrive when we got back. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again, but will pay the extra to park at the port for the convenience. cruisecrazy82 Posted November 28, 2013 #6 Share Posted November 28, 2013 We always stay at the Radisson when we sail from PC. Love the pool and the convenience of the location. Definitely our first choice :)
Lita74 Posted November 28, 2013 #7 Share Posted November 28, 2013 There are some hotels that have coupons for 40% off parking at the port. This what we are looking into. Sent from my iPad using Cruise Critic Forums mobile app
loodle_20 Posted November 28, 2013 #8 Share Posted November 28, 2013 Sorry to jump in but the Residence Inn and the Radisson are the 2 we are looking at so for those that have stayed at both which would you prefer?
Ecuteacher Posted November 28, 2013 #9 Share Posted November 28, 2013 The Comfort Inns and suites has a decent stay and park package with breakfast. We got a good deal on booking.com. The shuttle ride was longer going to the ship because of the cruise traffic but we were on the ship by 130. Most of the people there were going on a cruise and when we got back we were off the ship and back to our car in no time!
moki'smommy Posted November 28, 2013 #10 Share Posted November 28, 2013 I prefer the Residence Inn to the Radisson UNLESS you have kids who want to use the pool. Radisson has the better pool. Residence Inn--free breakfast for all. Radisson breakfast for 2 included in cruise package, not included in some packages. Residence newer, nicer. In fairness, I haven't seen the Radisson since their renovations have been completed. Also, Radisson shuttle serves not only their hotel, but guests transferred from their "sister" hotel a mile or so down the road....so get your shuttle reservation as early as you can! hospvol Posted November 29, 2013 #11 Share Posted November 29, 2013 (edited) LaQuinta in Hollywood is where we stay. You can leave your car for free as long s 14 days. Free breakfast. They have a shuttle to the ship and you can arrange for them to pick you up when you come back. Edited November 29, 2013 by hospvol
kjwent Posted December 10, 2013 #12 Share Posted December 10, 2013 We don't stay in Port Canaveral area so I don't have any hotel suggestions, but for parking we always go to ParkCruise.com to leave our car. About $8/night. Close to ships, very quick service, secure lot. Kathy
