bangzoom6877 Posted July 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2005 We're thinking of booking the 7-night Bermuda cruise for July 22, 2006, out of Philadelphia, on the Empress of the Seas. We will be travelling with my son who will be 18 months old at the time of our cruise, and will therefore need a crib. Is there a minimum cabin category that needs to be booked in order to accommodate a crib? I know they provide cribs, but I am curious as to how much money we will have to spend extra for a larger cabin, if necessary. Usually we book an inside, bottom deck, mid-ship, but I know these are small and I am curious if they accommodate cribs and where in the cabin they would put them. Has anyone experienced this before? I know RCI is notorious for smaller cabins, especially older ships like this one. Wondering if it is more worth while to spend an extra $900 and go on Explorer for 9 nights out of NJ? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! -Bonnie
Beffy1167 Posted July 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2005 That's a good question...and one that we asked our TA when we booked the Mariner for November 2006. Our son will also be 18 months old at the time of our cruise. According to the TA, no specific size of cabin is required but we decided to spend the extra money to book a JS because we can't even begin to imagine spending seven days cooped up in a regular sized cabin with a toddler. Plus, we'll have the balcony when he goes down for naps, gets tucked into bed early, etc.
