macgirl Posted July 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 13, 2005 We cruised with RCCL in October, and are now looking to book another cruise, also to get married on. We lived on the Sports Deck of the Navigator every day - golf, rock climbing, basketball, etc. Do any of the Princess ships have these facilities? If they don't what activities to they offer? We are more active and less into just sitting around, esp. on sea days. Just wondering what one would do during the sea days without a sports deck, that is if you aren't into sitting around. Thanks for the info!
custompcsys Posted July 13, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 13, 2005 I won't be on it until Saturday and this is my first Princess cruise, but from what I've read you'll be ok with everything you mentioned except the rock climbing wall. I don't believe any Princess ship has one. There is also a walking/jogging track on the Diamond from what I understand.
macgirl Posted July 13, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Do you happen to know what ship(s) has sports facilities? I checked the Princess website and couldn't find any, and my travel agent says that she's not aware of any of the Princess ships having this. . . any info would be appreciated - this could make the difference between booking Princess and RCCL for us, and the Princess weddings look really nice. THANKS!
custompcsys Posted July 13, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 13, 2005 Check out the deck plan for the Sports Deck for the ships you're thinking about. On the Diamond, this is where the jogging track, sports court, 9-hole putting course, shuffleboard, and deck chess are located. The Diamond also has a golf simulator and a pro on board for lessons. No rock climbing wall though:) Surprised your TA wasn't aware. Have fun! :D
