Best Western Ft. Lauderdale SOUTH

We are booked here for our spring break cruise and are a family of 4. It is the one on Stirling Ave, and have read many mixed reviews....some say GREAT, some say YUK....there is not many that give it an average rating....so question is....anybody have any info?

We will not have a car and arriving early afternoon ....so will need late lunch and/or dinner. IS there some places close by to go and eat? And is the area pretty safe to walk to a restaurant or is cab necessary?

Any suggestions on where to eat would be a plus also.

Call the hotel directly and ask them about places to have dinner. Also they may have local dinner delivery as well.

Last hotel in Miami I tried that with closed their restaurant before be got there, but it was 3 months later.........that was a surprise....we were in a not so great neighborhood so ended up ordering in pizza ( and it was not good )....so always like to hear from others sometimes.

The closest restaurants other than fast food are Las Vegas Cuban, Chipotle, and Moonlite Diner. The neighborhood isn't bad but just be careful crossing the busy street. Maybe the hotel shuttle can take you at least one way.
