Among the most popular downtown Miami hotels on these boards - breakfast, lots of dining and shopping options nearby. The hotel is about a $25 cab ride from MIA and another $12-14 cab will get yo to POM the next day.

I recommend the hotel.

 

As JohninDC noted it is a nice hotel and is nearby many places.

 

Right nearby is Mary Brickell Village with lots of restaurants and stores as well as a Pharmacy and Supermarket should you need any last minute items.

We've stayed there before and will be again at the end of December. It has a nice pool area and a bar. The only downside is no food onsite other than the continental breakfast (which is very nice). There are lots of restaurants in the area. We were so exhausted on the second day that we grabbed a take out menu from the front desk and had subs delivered to us in the bar and enjoyed a lovely inexpensive evening!
