Olympics shown on the cruise?

My wife and I are sailing on Oasis in Feb. during the winter Olympics. I was wondering if they show any of the Olympics during the sailing? Thanks for you help.

Yes they should show it. My DH and I were on for the last Winter Olympics and it was shown throughout the ship. It was fun watching everyone cheer for their countries!

Amongst the channels they show on the ship is ESPN International. If you were interested in something specific, you might check their schedule before you go.

I sure hope so. It starts while we're sailing and I love the Winter Olympics.

Being on a ship for any major sporting event is great! So much excitement from both the crew and passengers. Everyone really gets into it and sometimes the ship will hold parties in certain areas of the ship.

I don't know if they would do the same thing as other major sporting events, but last year for the football playoffs they would show in the Aqua Theater. It was a great place to have a bunch of people watching the game.

I assume a lot of what we will see on board will be coverage of the US team but any idea of how much Canadian content we can expect? Hate the fact that I may miss our defending the gold medal in hockey.

The Canadian content onboard for us during the last Winter Olympics was extensive! The hockey games drew large crowds in the schooner bar. I don't think you will have a hard time finding your games lol.

Good to hear! A fellow Canadian hoping to cheer on our team in the gold medal game while at sea! Curling finals are on while we are in Fort Lauderdale so hopefully we will find them on the TV as well :)
