sellwingri Posted January 6, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 6, 2014 On our last cruise, I hit 3 straight flushes playing 3 card poker on the last night. Had I won it on any other day, I would have been able to "reinvest" it so it was great winning it then so I could bring something home.
Panda3 Posted April 28, 2014 #27 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I won $1440 on the Carnival Magic last year on the New Years cruise. It was some dollar machine with 7's on fire. What sucks is your in international water and still have to fill out the IRS form. It also took about a half hour to finalize the payout. Oh, well I would still do it again. :) Why would you have to fill out the irs form in Intl waters?? Sent from my iPad using Forums
postmeome Posted April 28, 2014 #28 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Who are these people who win 1,500,2,000,or even 10,000 on ships ?,did you WIN a jackpot and come off winning that amount ?:)
Daghis Posted April 28, 2014 #29 Share Posted April 28, 2014 (edited) Why would you have to fill out the irs form in Intl waters?? I guess Carnival's casinos are affiliated with a US casino company and thus follows their procedures. Royal Caribbean's casinos don't give W2-Gs for jackpots. sailingawaysoon Posted April 28, 2014 #30 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Did a carnival cruise earlier this month. Hubby won over $6,000 during the course of the week on the Wheel of Fortune. This was the first time we came home from a cruise with money from the casino.
sweetpea1714 Posted April 28, 2014 #31 Share Posted April 28, 2014 Was on Liberty of the Seas in March. I also hit "deal or no deal" twice for 1879 each. I guess that's the highest it goes then restarts at 1000. And I usually don't play it but I was sitting next to my sister who was playing it. I just lost 400 in a different slot machine.....I put 40 bucks just to sit next to her and I hit it in my second run. Was sooooo excited then played another one the next night and hit it. And they don't take taxes out of u. Gonna be on Oasis in October 2014. I hope machines there would be " loose" also. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk They may not take taxes out but if you are a US citizen you still owe taxes on those winnings.
