rubinstein2r Posted December 7, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 7, 2013 We will be in Georgetown on Celebrity in January and I'd like to just go and sit on the beach and wade in the water. I would need a beach chair and umbrella. Any suggestions on what beach to go to, how to get there and how to arrange for chairs and umbrella (what to expect for cost?)? If we are better off using a tour to do this let me know, but I suspect not. Thanks!
disneydave Posted December 7, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 7, 2013 (edited) Get off the tender, walk to the road, and catch a cab to 7 mile beach it's a short drive down the road. There are people renting chairs and umbrellas all up and down the beach as well as many places to get drinks and food. Very easy to navigate. Cab and chair rental shouldn't be more than about 15-20$ pp Edited December 7, 2013 by disneydave

cb at sea Posted December 8, 2013 #5 Share Posted December 8, 2013 You don't even need a cab.....catch the bus! Much cheaper, and they are very reliable....coming and going! $2.50 pp....easy! All of the public access points have rentals and facilities.
Colorado Kat Posted December 9, 2013 #6 Share Posted December 9, 2013 Royal Palms is very nice. Great beach. Pool behind the restaurant. (Adults only?) Tasty food & drink. (Remember things are very pricey in the Caymans). They have clean restrooms and showers.
