packyourpixiedust Posted December 8, 2013 #1 Share Posted December 8, 2013 We are cruising in January with our infant (7 months). I need a recommendation for how to get to the pier with our family. We need a car with an infant rear-facing car seat. Thanks!
Rare 1025cruise Posted December 8, 2013 #2 Share Posted December 8, 2013 You might be best asking this on the Florida departures board.
Mom2B&Z Posted December 8, 2013 #3 Share Posted December 8, 2013 While I haven't done this in Miami, I have taken several shuttles and car services in Florida. Best advice? Bring your own seat. While people will tell you they've had great experiences, you know what seat fits your child. You may also not know some of the nuances of installing various car seats and may not know if the seat you are using is installed incorrectly. I used to volunteer as a car seat technician and I will only travel with seats that I know. This also eliminates issues with seats being "forgotten"(happened to me multiple times), broken, dirty or simply unavailable. Car seats can be stored fairly easily on the bottom of a cruise ship closet, and the minor inconvenience gives you the peace of mind that your child is travelling safely. packyourpixiedust Posted December 9, 2013 Author #4 Share Posted December 9, 2013 (edited) Anyone with a company? We used a company in Orlando who provided a car seat and we LOVED them. I followed up before about the type of seat, etc. (we also worded with my girlfriend who is a seat check person who taught us how to install any type of seat that we encounter...) I can figure out a plan B if need be, but I we are not bringing a seat. Edited December 9, 2013 by LovesVaca
