1time Posted July 14, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 14, 2005 I am travelling alone with my two children (7, 4 1/2) on a RCL cruise to Alaska in Aug. I wouold like to know if anyone has information about having a babysitter in Skagway for a few hours. I would like to do one activity but would prefer having a local perhaps be with the children. I don't want to leave them on the ship just for my own adventure but if there was someone fun to be with for a few hours that would be great. A daycare option is not of any interest either. I have called the local tourist bureau with no luck. It is not actually a huge problem for me if there is no luck but I thought I would ask. CruiseIsGood Posted July 14, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 14, 2005 You are MUCH safer leaving them on the ship with the childrens program! What if a pedophile answered your post telling you his Uncle Jim is a great guy?
Budget Queen Posted July 14, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 14, 2005 Sorry, I too would not consider a sitter off ship. Your best option is the kids program on ship.
1time Posted July 14, 2005 Author #4 Share Posted July 14, 2005 Good points. I will stick to what I know best. The reality of asking people online about something like my children now gives me definite pause for thought. The kids stick with me. Thanks for the input.
