How do you choose your stateroom?

I just booked my 9th cruise. I always book upper deck or higher, it's a preference and always near the atrium. It's easy to find and know were you are, compared to trying to figure out what set of elevators you're at. Also that's good for kids or the elderly... Tell them to find find the glass elevators.
