Changing booking from one ship to another...

We are currently sailing on the Empress of the Seas 8/25. My brother is a Marine and just found out that he is getting a longer leave. We noticed there is a sailing on the Mariner of the Seas 8/28. Has anyone ever switched this late in the game? Is it possible?

 

I called RC and the first agent said yes and transferred me to neverland where I sat on hold for almost an hour and gave up. Am going to try to call again, but thought I would check here too.
