Hi :),

Does anybody know the best place to buy watches in Nassau, and does anybody know if the shops on the ship and on the islands are open on Christmas?

Thanks :)

I would not buy a watch in Nassau. The shops should be open on Christmas on the ship but Probably not on shore.

The shopping in Nassau isn't as good as other islands in my opinion. It also really depends on what brand you are interested in. John Bull is the official Rolex retailer of the Bahamas and they also stock other watches. Little Switzerland has a large range of Swiss watches and also Breitling, TAG Heuer, Omega, Citizen, Michael Kors...

Sorry I cannot really help with opening hours. On board shops are not open when in port but should be open during other specified hours when at sea, even on Christmas.

Hope this helps a little

Jo :)

I may be mistaken but I think the ships shops open up in the evening in Nassau, I know the casino is open.

You may well be correct but based on my experience, they haven't been open. I have been to Nassau twice and they haven't been open whilst in port and usually opened up after we sailed.

The better shops will be closed on Christmas. I don't think u will find a quality watch on Christmas day.

I never knew the casino was open while docked in Nassau. Any other port I've been to, the casino was closed until about an hour after we left. Very glad to here this, my next cruise doesn't leave Nassau until midnight.
