help needed re hotels in scotland and london

Recommended Posts

I recently stayed at the City Inn in Glasgow and found it to be a very nice hotel. LINK .

The hotel we stopped at in Edinburgh wasn't up to much but a friend stopped at The Ibis and said it was OK and it was certainly convenient for the Royal Mile, Princes Street and the railway station. LINK .

In London I think the Travelodge in Covent Garden takes some beating for location and price. LINK.

Hope that is useful.

Nick.

I am from Glasgow so I could advise you on any hotel you were considering in Glasgow or Edinbugh. In Glasgow the Holiday Inn Express(theatreland) is reasonable priced and well placed in a nice part of the city centre (as is Bewleys Hotel in Bath St). Jurys Hotel in Edinburgh is the same (Hotels in Edinburgh are VERY expensive in August when the Festival is on. Try http://www.laterooms.com for some good deals but let me know what hotels you are thinking about.
