QM2 Spreading her wings

QE2 will do an eastbound world cruise because with her age she needs the wind behind her these days. So QM2 will do the westbound and they will meet in Sydney where Dame Edna Everage will host THE reception at the Opera House - the 3 tenors will then do their farewell performance with guest star Cher before Bette Midler windsails into the harbour to mount the clam shell (because she likes the wind beneath her wings!!). HM QEII will then officially rename QE2 as 'Queen Elizabeth too' after her faux pas in 1967 when she foolishly thought that Cunard wanted to name their latest Queen after the reigning monarch (as if ???).

Long to reign over us .... and keep out Camilla please

A response on another board from Peter Warwick (I don't think you could find a better source) is that the plan in 2007 is for the QE2 to do the traditional world cruise and the QM2 will do a truncated version with 20 ports in 81 days.
