Odd (?) Question - Irie Beach VS Bamboo Beach Club

Royal Caribbean offers similar excursions to both. From reading their websites, Irie Beach seems to be on a river?? If I'm going to Jamaica, I want the ocean! Bamboo Beach Club appears to be directly on the ocean.

Anyone familiar with both of these that could offer a comparison, and/or tell me about the Irie "river"? Lots of info on CC about Irie especially, but I haven't seen any river comments. Thanks in advance.

I've been looking at the same excursions from Falmouth for our cruise in April. The Bamboo Beach excursion is 5 hours but in the description it says one hour travel time each way which gives you only 3 hours actually at the beach.

Bamboo Beach Club is on the other side of Ocho, so that explains the longish drive if you're docking in Falmouth. See the map on their website, which also gives you a lot of info on the facilities. There are a ton of reviews on TripAdvisor. The takeaway for me was, this is a rather rustic beach club vs. what you might experience at a hotel beach club.

We just did the Irie Mon Beach break in Falmouth. It's actually on Cornwall Beach, so yes, it's on the ocean. We chose it because we were told that the drive was only about 40 minutes each way as opposed to over an hour each way for Bamboo Beach Club.

Here are some photos I took. We had a great time on this excursion.
