Can you order bottle/booze onboard, and how? (Conquest)

Title pretty much says it all. I know you can pre-order, but we have not yet decided whether to take the drink package. If we decide not to, would like to be able to order a bottle for the room.

 

I recall at one point it was ship specific whether you could do this, and in some cases through guest services, and in other cases through room service.

 

What is the deal these days? Any Conquest specific advice?

You should be able to go online, under your booking, where the sell the "extras". Under food and beverage are the bottles.

You can order liquor from room service, cost is the same as Bon Voyage.

or you can go to the area that sells flowers and Tux, and order a bottle there, pay for it, and it will be in your room with in minutes, done this several times on the Conquest/

Wow. I didn't know this! The prices the same as the on-line Bon Voyage store. Well, at least I know I can get one if I want.

I know that we can order it PRE boarding, but the OP asked about AFTER boarding and being underway....

Also, if you wait to order your liquor thru room service after you get into open waters (i.e. around dinner time), you save yourself the 5 bucks or so in tax.

I haven't heard that. Perhaps you're thinking of the duty-free limits; that is one bottle per person. We usually order 3 bottles or so for the room while cruising.

This is great info, thanks! I had no idea, I thought Bon Voyage was the only way to order full bottles. Hubby and I were just talking the other day about how much to order without having TOO much. Last time we 'brought' our own onboard but it was such a hassle and added stress of being caught. Not something is care to spend time doing again, especially if we can just buy bottles onboard.

yes you can do this, do it every time. That way if yours gets taken you still have another option...

I just did a mock purchase and BV only allowed 2 bottles of liquor. More rum runner sales....
