swedish weave Posted January 2, 2014 #26 Share Posted January 2, 2014  They sound very nice. But in all honesty since I don't like any of the hull art on the new builds, not sure if that would be a selling factor to me if I went on one teeheehee. Our old favorite Star still looks very nice !!!!!!!
auntierobin Posted January 2, 2014 #27 Share Posted January 2, 2014 I think I have an extra one at home, I will check when we get back this weekend. If I have a extra I will be more than happy to send it to you.

FL Sunshine Posted January 2, 2014 #30 Share Posted January 2, 2014 I like to use the cruise pins as embellishments in the scrapbooks I make for our cruises. :)
Mrs. Squirrel Posted January 2, 2014 #31 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Great idea! I could attach them to the necklace part of a cloth lanyard and that can be their home when I'm not cruising! Do they sell Norwegian lanyards in the gift shops? I usually don't wear a lanyard all day, but for a Meet and Greet or Latitudes gathering would be doable. Of course now I'll have to get missing pins for Dawn and Pearl. On Pearl last month they had three different styles of NCL branded lanyards in the gift shop. That is where I store my ship pins. sailingnut Posted January 2, 2014 #32 Share Posted January 2, 2014 I got my first pin during my "Breakaway" cruise last October~~in fact I got three and I was a single cruiser! It was my fifth cruise~~what the heck?:)
Rare mitsugirly Posted January 2, 2014 Author #33 Share Posted January 2, 2014 Seriously, what do people actually DO with these pins? Give me some ideas please! They are currently cluttering up my jewelry box. I suggested my DH put his on a "cruise" hat, and that was quickly shot down. Not sure why people are so crazy to get them. What I do with mine is put mine in a scrapbook that I do for each ship. My little one helps me do it and she loves it. Others on my roll call mentioned that they wear them while on other cruises or to meet & greet. :) Your room steward has nothing to do with your ship pin unless you are suggesting he/she took it which I highly doubt. The room steward is the one who brings them to the room. I'm not implying they took it, just that they never delivered it. I am definitely aware that you can go down and ask for one, the problem is that I forgot to do so. I remembered one night that I hadn't received it and was going to go down and get one and completely forgot about it...until last night. Sigh Thanks for all of the offers for the pins. I'll let you guys know. Someone on my roll call said to sign into my latitudes account and go down to the bottom and hit the email them, but on all of the screens says : "We're unable to find your account using the information provided." This doesn't make sense because I'm logged into my account, my latitudes information is brought up...but it won't let me do anything.

Medtech2 Posted January 3, 2014 #37 Share Posted January 3, 2014 You mean I could actually SELL mine on EBay?!;) Seriously, what do people actually DO with these pins? Give me some ideas please! Actually, I never got an Epic pin and have searched to no avail for one...:( I want them as a very small souvenir to remember my cruises. It has been a disappointment, to say the least. Medtech2 Posted January 3, 2014 #38 Share Posted January 3, 2014 Darn it! Now I just looked and realized I did not get a Breakaway pin! I guess because so far I have only gotten the one on the Sun I forgot about it and did not ask on the ship... Double darn...

coka Posted January 3, 2014 #41 Share Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) I usually give mine away to cruisecritics who need one. I mailed a bunch of the no longer in service ships and the old pins to one who collected them...under the condition I better not see them on eBay, lol. I gave some away again a few years ago, but I never got the Epic or Breakaway when sailed. Below is what I just found in my drawer if anyone wants them: Dawn (the blue and gold colored pin) The new ones with the ship hull: Jewel (2) Star (2) Jade (2) Pearl (1) If you want one, give me your email and I will write you so you can give me your mailing address. coka Edited January 3, 2014 by coka

hannibal54 Posted January 3, 2014 #45 Share Posted January 3, 2014 I called NCL today because I forgot to get a pin from the Jewel this year. The person I talked to tried to get in touch with the person with the pins, they are on vacation until 1-6-14. She sent the person an e-mail and if they have the pin, they will mail it to me. This is the number that I called: 1-866-625-1164

NMLady Posted January 3, 2014 #50 Share Posted January 3, 2014 (edited) Me and some of the other roll call members were discussing the ship pins during the cruise and have even discussed it after the cruise (they have 1 of a ship I don't have yet that I have been on and I was going to check for 1 extra one that they might need)...... AND I COMPLETELY FORGOT ABOUT IT.....I DIDN'T RECEIVE MY SHIP PIN FROM OUR JEWEL CRUISE we just took 2 weeks ago. What the heck??? We had the worse room steward, but geesh, no ship pin? Anyone know if I can email or call NCL to get my pin? What can be done? I want my pin :tear: Anyone had this problem before and was able to get one? We did not get Star pins in October. I didn't know about the pins so didn't ask onboard. Edited January 3, 2014 by NMLady
