Gift Ideas for Honeymooners

My daughter and future son-in-law will be having their honeymoon on Carnival Legend in April. My husband and I have been on the Carnival website looking at various things to send to their cabin. What items have you given or received that make the best gifts? Are there things that aren't worth the money? I would appreciate anyone's input. Thanks!

Before they got rid of drink coupons I purchased that surprise for my brother he was very thankful. Maybe u could pay for an excursion or if there is a steakhouse that would be nice. Or chefs table. Congratulations to your family.:D

Definitely credit toward the steakhouse!

On our last cruise we purchased the High Seas Deluxe Tote Package and found it to be very useful. It was nice to have an extra t-shirt to throw on, we used the visors quite a bit on the ship and excursions, we would take the tote on the lido deck filled with books and water, and it was fantastic having a champagne toast with the nice souvenir glasses! For $100, we thought it was a good deal.

I don't know them, but cruise cash or booze is what I would want.

I know my girlfriend wouldn't be against a bottle of champagne as a surprise.

Cruise cash so they can choose what's best for them. Some think things like a spa are great, but if it were me, I would care less for it. Not everyone is a steakhouse lover either, though it would be better than the spa.

I would say cruise cash, that way they can spend it on whatever they want. We renewed our vows last February and that is what most of our guest gave us and it worked out great. We spent it on whatever we wanted on board. When we got to our cabin we had lots of cards telling us who sent what.

I said the same thing earlier. Let them spend their windfall of money on what they want unless they've previously expressed a desire towards a specific thing. Maybe she'd like to get her hair done before getting pictures done. I know that's expensive. Maybe they'd like to splurge in the casino without guilt. Maybe there's an excursion they would not ordinarily book due to cost.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas. We might go with the cruise cash. However today my daughter expressed interest in two different excursions. One was the Amazing Cozumel Race and the other is the Stringray Sandbar, Hell, and Turtle Farm Experience in Grand Cayman. Which one is a better excursion?

I still would go with the cruise cash under their control. My reasoning is what happens if for some reason that stop is cancelled? How would reimbursement be given if you paid for it? (Just wondering)
