All Things Freedom!

I haven't really seen a thread for any Freedom threads, but I really want to have one where people can leave reviews, photos, opinions, stories and links that can help people waiting for their cruise to help pass the time or people who have done the Freedom can relive some memories from their trip.

So let's get this thread going!

Happy Cruising!

I think these are all less than 1 page... so your thread could do just as well, since links to their remarks are in your thread.

Thanks, but I want to start new, as these threads are old, and two of them aren't even for the right ship (Carnival Freedom, I ddin't post the Carnival in front of it because it was on the Carnival board). But thanks.

Anyone esle want to help? :D

Did a B2B on the Freedom last summer. She is by far one of our favorite ships. The crew and staff were outstanding. She did show signs of wear, but no more so than other ships her age. We enjoyed our cruise so much, we booked her again for this March.

I, for one, am happy to see this thread:D Looking at an 8 night Southern Caribbean in May. Really cannot wait to see what upgrades she gets in her dry dock. We cruised on the Breeze last April, and now DD doesn't want to cruise on a ship that doesn't have Guys Burgers..:o:o Hopefully people contribute to this thread, and keep it going.

Not sure on the upgrades.... have seen on other threads that her dry dock is only going to be couple weeks long now :(

There are reports that there will be on-going construction to staterooms during sailings. You would be surprised at how much they can get done in a few short weeks of dry dock. Especially if they have crews working 24/7.

We will be sailing the Freedom on May 10. Just got a call from Carnival upgrading my room from a 4j on the lido to a balcony on the lido due to construction. Great upgrade!

Maybe 9201 will be converted into one of the scenic rooms like the Valor while at sea.

Any other details about the drydock? Did it sound like a bunch of cabins were being refit, or just yours?

Sent from my Carnival Laptop

The Freedom is one of my favorite ships. We'll be on here again at the end of this month.

I'll be doing a review when I get back, so if you have any questions or want pictures of something, let me know.

Oh. Well I will definstly watch for it! Thanks so much! Enjoy your cruise!

CCL just apologized for my inconvenience of moving and offered the balcony upgrade. I was so shocked that I didn't think to ask about additional cabins and construction. He stated "your cabin will be under construction that week" then the offer of the upgrade came. I graciously accepted next he sent the change to my email. Sorry no more details available.

Amazing! I loved the Panarama deck on Glory as well. Right at the lido deck. Hope you enjoy yourself!

Hi Joie - there is a fish & chips place upstairs above the Lido Buffet, a Mongolian wok, deli, pizza (which is delicious), and a tandoori station (if I am not mistaken). There is also a coffee bar (pay) that has a selection of pastries and coffees. The steakhouse is great as well - $35.00 pp including tip. Serenity deck offers a "lunch box" on sea days as well.

March 16th can't get here fast enough!

We always book on Panorama deck, our upcoming Freedom cruise is no exception. This will be our first time on the Freedom. We're a little bummed that it's before the dry dock.

We are considering a cruise on her for next year, so I hope some members chime in with good tips for cabins and places to not miss on board!

Any of the 4 aft wrap cabins on deck 6 or 7 are great. Very peaceful and quiet at the back of the ship and the views are amazing. Elevator location is convenient and the elevators are less busy than the ones midship. Convenient to walk down 1 or 2 levels to the casino, shops, taste bar, etc. It looks like you will be on the Liberty in May. Liberty is Freedoms sister ship, so you will get a feel for the general layout then. I love both ships and are cruising on both again this year.
