"Anytime Dining" on Pricess Cruise

Will be going on our 1st cruise ever later this year. On Princess Cruises they have "anytime dining." This may be a dumb question, but I would assume even though it is "anytime" dining, one would still need to make reservations??? If so, where onboard do you make the reservations, and when can you start making them?

Again, I apologize if this question comes across as being a dumb one.

No reservation needed but depending on time, there may be a line. How long you wait depends on the number in the group, the time of evening, and whether you are willing to table share. Waits for 'tables for 2' are a bit longer.

I like meeting new peeps so the big tables work for my style. I see the water lots of other times so need not see waves pass my table but if it works, I enjoy it.

Have fun,

M

You do not need to make reservations for Anytime Dining on Princess. Just show up. We are Easy and say we'll share with any others with any waiter. Have never had to wait long enough (more than 5 minutes) to have been given a beeper. We normally go about 7:30 or 8:00.

You can make reservations, but you don't have to. We rarely do, just once in a while if we know we need a certain time. It may be difficult to get reservations during prime times; not sure, as we don't want to eat then.

We rarely if ever have a wait, and usually ask for a table for two. Sometimes we can just walk right in, sometimes have a wait of 1-5 minutes. We do not try to eat at the busiest times though, for instance when the dining room opens, we prefer 8 or later.

Formal night may be a little busier.
