Magic 7/17/05 - why Sunday?

I was supprised to see the Magic in port this morning in Los Angeles. Did something go wrong? Did they plan an overnight stay? I thought they always departed on Saturdays?

 

Forgive me if this has been discussed. I couldn't find the subject anywhere.

Today, Sunday is the big 50th anniversary of Disneyland, and I believe that the ship was being used for some kind of party, so the next cruise will be a shortened cruise.

I didn't even think of the 50th party! That would explain it.

Yes, they had a Make-a-Wish party on her Saturday night and left on Sunday for a 6 night cruise.
