My time dining on the Oasis

We are going on our first RC cruise (second ever cruise) on the Oasis on March 8th. We have signed up for My time dining and I just went onto to make reservations for my group of 8 and there is nothing available before 8 pm on most nights. What is the normal wait if we just show up for dinner at say 7pm? I am a bit concerned that we will have to wait a long time for dinner. Am I better off to have assigned dining time?

With a group of 8, I'm afraid that you would probably have quite a wait at 7:00 without a reservation. From my experience and also what I've read here on CC, 7:00 p.m. is probably the most requested time for MTD.

 

My suggestion is to go to the MTD podium on Deck 5 as soon as you board and see what arrangements you can make for your group.

Apparently they don't let you book certain times on line before the cruise. I would suggest that you go to the dining room as soon as you board the ship and make your reservations for whatever time works for your group.

 

We had MTD on the Oasis just a few months ago and it worked like a charm with almost no waiting.

With a group that big, you WILL need to have reservations....or do traditional.....larger groups are much harder to seat, just like in any restaurant.

Try calling them. They can sometimes make bookings that are not available online.
