Fellow cruisers,

Does anyone have information on the rioting in Bangkok and whether it will affect using The port at Klong Toey as the port for the Shadow on the February

27 Singapore to Hong Kong cruise.

It seems as though there will be nothing to see if many of the streets are closed. This happened in 2010 and was very serious for downtown Bangkok and unfortunately many people were hurt.

We would like to hear from anyone withe thoughts.

There are only 4 of us signed for our meet and greet and we have been wondering

Bangkok Protesters have not rioted, they have strategically shut down 7 KEY intersections making it Very difficult to get around Bangkok. There have been two isolated incidents, one this past weekend where someone through explosives into the crowd. That said.....If you avoid these protest areas.....you will be fine.

Klong Toey is close to downtown Bangkok......Seabourn also docks there. It is a secured port requiring id for entry etc.

a good guide should be able to know the situation before you arrive....

Bangkok is a great city! hopefully this will end soon.
