emen822 Posted July 18, 2005 #1 Share Posted July 18, 2005 Hi. We are taking a cruise next April and would like a table for 4. My last cruise I booked through an agent and we were able to get that type of table. I booked this cruise directly w/RCCL. Do I call them and request it? I read on here to check your table when you get on board. I just wanted to know if there were any other suggestions. Thanks in advance.
familycruzer Posted July 18, 2005 #2 Share Posted July 18, 2005 Request your table size early. On our last cruise we asked for a table for 4 and we kind of got it. We were given a table for 8 but we were the only people there.
cruizeblues Posted July 18, 2005 #3 Share Posted July 18, 2005 We requested a table for four at the time of booking and got it. I saw quite a few tables for four in the dining room. It worked out great for our family!
webski Posted July 18, 2005 #4 Share Posted July 18, 2005 We were assigned a table for four (three of us) without asking. I did notice there were quite a few tables for 4 on the Vision.
mariposas Posted July 18, 2005 #5 Share Posted July 18, 2005 I would call RCCL and make sure there is a notation on your reservation that you requested a table for four. I think they are pretty common so you shouldn't have a problem getting what you asked for; when you get on the ship, be sure to check out your table. The head waiter will do all he can to accommodate your request!
critterchick Posted July 18, 2005 #6 Share Posted July 18, 2005 They must be easy to get. Whenever we (just 2 of us) request a large table, we get stuck at a table for 4.

noseybuddy Posted July 18, 2005 #9 Share Posted July 18, 2005 Booked my cruise 3 months before we sailed, requested a table for 4 and got it.
dennbr9 Posted July 18, 2005 #10 Share Posted July 18, 2005 Why only four? We always ask for the largest table we can get as we enjoy meeting new people. The best part of the trip to us is getting to meet others, and those at your table are the ones you get to know the best. Dennis
dgballer39 Posted July 18, 2005 #11 Share Posted July 18, 2005 to tell you the truth i like to share tables with people, my family is a family of 3 and we had a table with 10 other people on our last cruise and the family of 6 turned out to be very nice and we had a great time with them
Cruiser_Guy Posted July 18, 2005 #12 Share Posted July 18, 2005 We too love meeting all the others. We always request a table by a window, and always get it! Also, how does RCCL pick who sits where? Do they do it by town, age, families?
Jayme580 Posted July 18, 2005 #13 Share Posted July 18, 2005 Call now and let them know, the earlier the better. I have requested a table for 2 on our next cruise. I'll have to wait and see what happens. Jamie
laurasue Posted July 18, 2005 #14 Share Posted July 18, 2005 We were also assigned a table for 4 without asking. There were only 2 in our party so we were seated with another couple.

Boxer_Mom Posted July 19, 2005 #17 Share Posted July 19, 2005 When I requested a table for 2, I got a snotty response and was told there are no guarantees. He was RUDE! We have our reasons for wanting a 2 person table but Id settle for a 4 person. I mentioned to the CSR that I had read 'somewhere" ( the CC boards) that when yo uare in a suite and make such a request they usually accomadate (We will be in an OS) and he said he could not confirm nor deny it and kept repeating himself...the lil jerk.
