Shmoo here Posted January 16, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 16, 2014 My hubby and I have done 2 Disney cruises in the last year but have done the without our kids. We decided to take them on a cruise next year and one of our kids is nursery aged. How does the nursery work onboard? TIA You can pre-book a maximum number of hours pre-cruise, it varies depending on the length of the cruise. The cost is $6.00 per hour. Once onboard, you can add additional hours, if you need them, as long as they are available.

I appreciate the help and sorry for the repeat question I just came across the 22 month old question. moki'smommy Posted January 16, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2014 You figure out when you want to use the nursery. You can reserve a number of hours in advance when you do your on line check in or any time after that. The number of hours depends on the cruise length--10 hours on 3/4 night cruises, 18 on 7 night cruises, 35 on 14 night cruises. Cost of the nursery is $6 for the first child in a cabin, $4 for an addition child booked in the same cabin. They are VERY flexible about allowing you to change the times after boarding; they know that schedules don't always work the way you hoped. Just give them as much notice as possible. Usually on day 2 of the cruise, they will allow you to book additional hours if you wish. They just want everyone to have a chance to get times before anyone grabs a ton of them. On 7 night and longer cruises, they allow drop offs (unscheduled) on a space/staff available basis. Even 5 minutes notice is a help though. If you have reserved a time and don't show up/don't call and cancel, you will be charged.
