misskkj Posted January 19, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Never been on the Dream. Never stayed in a cabin with a cove balcony. Have you? Can you share the pros and cons? Will be for a cruise in Jan 2015. Thank you!
karinski Posted January 19, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2014 Loved the dream and the cove balcony!! Balcony is very private and shaded due to the lifeboats above. It was so cool to be so close to the water! Our balcony did get closed off on our return to Port Canaveral, as we were behind a little storm named Hurricane Sandy! We actually spent an extra day doing donuts off the coast if Miami!! The crew was great- the food was great! Loved the punchliner comedy brunch!! All in all it was a great cruise and we have another cove booked on the Magic in March!
tlw440 Posted January 19, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2014 We have sailed on the Dream twice, both times in the cove balcony, we love the cove. For us it was all pros and no cons. The Dream is a great ship, enjoy your cruise. Our cabin was 2288 both times.
jjdmom8 Posted January 19, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2014 We had a cove balcony on the Dream this past summer.. Loved it! Only issue was the galley above and the noise. Check deckplangenius and see whats above you.. try to get a cabin that in not under the galley and you will love it! Under the lifeboats so the view is unobstructed and as previous poster said, very close to the water!
tcs1366 Posted January 19, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2014 I agree... check the deck plans... we were in an opening of the life boats... had a great view. for me, the only slight con would be the constant "salt spray" from the waves. awesome balcony - would do it again. We had friends next door, so the panel was opened up so the 4 of us could hang out together.
