spkinva Posted January 22, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 22, 2014 Can anyone recommend a restaurant near the cruise port that would be a nice place for lunch?
Rare crewsweeper Posted January 24, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 24, 2014 There are several places in the Old Fort shopping complex. A nice restaurant on the upper floor overlooking the canal and ocean. A smaller place just down the parapets that over looks Punda and the canal and serves more Indonesian flavored food. I forget the names. If you are at the dock inside the walking/draw bridge, there's the "blue inn" (or somesuch name) very near the dock before the bridge. And across the walking bridge is Iguanas along the canal and close to the free ferry. Decent seafood here. But nice venue to people watch.
Sunny AZ Girl Posted January 24, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 24, 2014 I am also interested in this. We have a morning tour scheduled and are trying to decide if we will return to the ship for lunch after the tour or just stop for lunch near the ship before heading over the bridge for some shopping. Our tour will drop us off at the ship, so convenience will probably play a big part in our decision.
Shutterbug999 Posted February 20, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 20, 2014 There are lots in Rif Fort - prices all vary - but have eaten in a few and all fine Its great having a drink at the street cafes overlooking the floating bridge - the other side from the boats - but just a few min walk - or free ferry if the bridge is open
