Coloradocruiser01 Posted January 23, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 23, 2014 I have been to St. Thomas several times and have done the usual shopping. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for something extraordinary shore excursions to do with my two daughters ( ages 23 & 18 ).
Holly2 Posted January 23, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 23, 2014 You might want to take the excursion or ferry to St John.

Coloradocruiser01 Posted January 23, 2014 Author #4 Share Posted January 23, 2014 That sailboat charter looks like fun but probably not in my budget:)
blue_water Posted January 23, 2014 #5 Share Posted January 23, 2014 You are in port with 1 Carnival ship, both docked at Havensight. You arrive at 8 and the Liberty at 10 so you have a couple hours head start on them. A self excursion to St John is always nice. Just grab a taxi to Red Hook on the East End and take the 20 min ferry to Cruz Bay. From there you can taxi to a beach and then shop in Cruz Bay after, the beaches are very nice and shopping is much more enjoyable in Cruz than Charlotte Amalie. Just take the 3PM return ferry to allow time to get back to the ship. Total transportation cost to Cruz Bay is about $34pp. Or you could leave earlier and stop at Paradise Point and enjoy drinks and the view of the harbor. The taxi can drop you there and you can taxi back down or take the aerial tram, it's a 10 min walk to the ship from the tram platform. The New Horizons daysail to STJ is $75pp and goes from 10 - 4. And the champagne catamaran ship excursion may be the best choice for a nice, relaxing day touring the coast of STJ and seeing Cruz Bay. Or are you looking for something more exciting?
