Fjords. Balcony?

The view's the same whether you're on a balcony or on deck. The question isn't about the view, it's about the convenience of a private bit of deck by your cabin.

(Though on deck, you get twice the view because you can sit either side, and if you're in the shade or the wind you can move.)

Our most recent cruise to the fjords was the second week of June of last year (on Cunard, not P&O - not that it matters). The weather was fine and we were able to use the balcony at all times. In August it should be even warmer, so you should get a lot of use from your balcony unless you encounter one of the rainy spells.

If you site on your balcony, what you miss going in you will see coming out.Wherever you site all of the views will be stunning.

As an aside our last fjord cruise was on Aurora and the front seats in the crows nest gave you the bestest warmest seats. Got quite amusing ,or even very amusing if any of those seats were given up, watching 1/2 the crows nest trying not to look as though they will get to those seats FIRST!!!!, without running ofcourse, that would not be British!!!

We loved having a balcony on our Fjords cruise - July - we even sat out there in the early morning as we were going up one of the Fjords - fleeces on with an early morning cup of coffee - wonderful. What you don't see on one side going into a fjord you see on the other side coming out.
