Cool Mist Humidifier?

I did a search but didn't get any good information, so I'm asking. I've been having sinus trouble (with bloody nose problems) and am using a cool-mist humidifier on advice from my doctor. I will be sailing on a short 4-day here from LA in March. What are the chances I can bring it on board with me? It has no heating element. It's fairly small, too, goes right next to my bed.

surprised that you would need the humidifier on a 4day cruise, i wouldn't think that the indoor air is that dry. take a little tabletop thermometer/humidity gauge with you. let us know when you get back what the humidity level was in your cabin . enjoy your cruise !!

The main objection to appliances is a heating element, so your humidifier should not be an issue.

You may need it if you don't have a balcony cabin. This is due to the recirculating air system onboard ship for inside and Oceanview cabins which tends to exacerbate respiratory issues for some people.

We had a ship's doctor advise us to book balcony cabins to be able to get fresh ocean air by leaving door open for a while, refreshing the air in the room. This might be a good idea as well for your cruise.

You will find the only plug available is by the desk in your cabin (see your cabin layout online). If you need the humidifier close to your bed, then bring an extension cord.

I may not even need the humidifier by then, but now I've had some bad bronchitis and sinus issues lately, and I'm supposed to have it on regularly now. I will be traveling alone, so I will be especially uncomfortable having the door open while I sleep. With the climate control system on all night, I do have some concern about the air getting very dry.

Thanks for your responses, everyone. Good information.

She is now the President of Princess Cruises.....I don't think suggesting that someone write her about humidifiers is a great idea:D

Also, I have "signatures" disabled on Cruise Critic. How is it that yours shows up?

Posted here because this seems like a place to ask questions about Princess, and it isn't an immediate concern. It also seems to be something that hasn't been covered much before, at least in my searches. Eye rolls not necessary.
