reilly1 Posted January 29, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 29, 2014 My husband and I, along with 2 other couples, are taking a 3 night mini cruise on the Balmoral over the Easter weekend. I received a phone call last evening offering an upgrade from a Balcony Cabin to a Superior Suite, deck 9 midships, for only £30. Of course we accepted and have told our friends to do the same. Anyone any experience of these rooms? We are in 9052. Apart from size, are there any other extras for suite guests? It will be a nice treat. Mark_T Posted January 29, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Nice upgrade :) The full list of what suites get over and above the other cabins is here: http://www.fredolsencruises.com/on-board-experience/on-board-cruise-experience/suite-dreams/suite-dreams Do note though that some of these are not offered on the mini-cruises. You'll enjoy the extra space though even without any other benefits.
reilly1 Posted January 29, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted January 29, 2014 Thanks for that. I have looked and all the perks are available on mini cruises for SS category and above, which is what we are. Even better value than I thought then. Really looking forward to it now!
PJ's Posted January 30, 2014 #4 Share Posted January 30, 2014 We did a Christmas Markets cruise on Balmoral a couple of years ago and we also received a phone call asking us if we would like to upgrade to SS grade. Best thing we did - loved cruising the Kiel canal even though it was a bit nippy on the balcony - the canapés and all the other "extras" were brilliant. Really enjoyed ourselves. Have a lovely break.
