Vacationer80 Posted January 31, 2014 #1 Share Posted January 31, 2014 My hubby and I are thinking we won't book an excursion for our stop in Grand Cayman, we'd rather explore on our own but we're wondering how safe it is to do that? We were thinking we'd grab a cab to Seven Mile Beach and spend the day relaxing in the sun. Can anyone recommend a good place along that beach to plant ourselves for the day? We would like to go somewhere where we could possibly rent beach chairs and an umbrella (if there is such a place) and be near restaurants or food shops with washroom facilities. Thanks! cb at sea Posted January 31, 2014 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2014 Seagrape Beach (part of 7 Mile Beach) has what you're looking for. Restaurant/bar on the beach, with chair/umbrella/watersport rental, and restrooms! Take the bus!! GC is as safe as anywhere!
bookbabe Posted January 31, 2014 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2014 It's very safe to go to the beach on your own. This thread - http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1977659 - has all the info you need.
