Celebrity Century Question re Deck 9

Thinking of going on a Celebrity Century cruise B to B in October. Apparently the ship is undergoing dry dock from February to March, but was wondering what the ship is like even before the dry dock time.

We have been quoted Deck 9 which is a concierge class cabin.

Any advice would be welcome.

We love the Century and have sailed on her 9 times. The big white space behind the mid ship elevators is where the exhaust pipes go up to the stack. Wont be an issue on the outside rooms but if you're in an inside room that backs onto this area, you will hear a constant noise. Not loud or annoying, but just there. We found it acted as white noise at night and kept us from hearing people in the halls. The door at the very front of the hall on the Port side of deck 10 is the access to the Bridge and if you are close enough, you can hear it closing and it is used often. Not sure if you would hear it below on deck 9 but just putting it out there. Other than that, enjoy the ship

We were on the Century last month on the Panama Canal (15 day) and we were in an C-2 cabin towards the aft of the ship. The cabins are ok...you can tell it's time to refurb. The shower tile needed to be redone. The floor on the balcony was also due. They must have poured the material on when it was too hot because it had bubbles which were raised which could be an issue for some people when they walk out. Overall the cabin was fine. The cabin steward was wonderful.
