missypriss19 Posted February 9, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 9, 2014 I was thinking the same thing when I was watching the news. Poor people waiting to get on. Glad my cruise is still a couple of weeks away.

Shaded Lady Posted February 9, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Is anyone else having issues with the cruise webcam? I can see the harbor webcam but the cruise one just gives an error...

DebJ14 Posted February 9, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Yes, it is foggy even 60 miles inland where I live. No ship this morning on the webcam and the only info on the website is the information for the delay last week. Also, haven't seen anything on FB about the delay. They really need to provide info for those sailing today.
riclop Posted February 9, 2014 #10 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Fog that is why we would never sail out of Galveston during the winter.
stewpapa Posted February 9, 2014 #11 Share Posted February 9, 2014 We have had several fog delays out of Galveston. A little inconvenient and once we even boarded after 6 pm and didn't leave til morning. Still made all our ports and received a $25 obc pp for the extra inconvenience. Oh, and its also the cheapest time to cruise and no hurricanes. Fog Shmog! Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
sjcarter407 Posted February 9, 2014 #12 Share Posted February 9, 2014 My ship mate app is showing heavy fog and only a hand full of people on the deck.
sg4crzn Posted February 9, 2014 #13 Share Posted February 9, 2014 Is the fog when the day temps warm up? We sail next Sunday. Hope the weather cooperates. We sailed NYE and was able to go out but it was a little chilly. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app

wrigley80 Posted February 10, 2014 #16 Share Posted February 10, 2014 What is the shipmate ap? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk It is a free app on the App Store. It has all the Carnival ships. Definitely a good app to have for anyone who enjoys cruising. It has deck plans and roll calls
EZ4 Posted February 10, 2014 #17 Share Posted February 10, 2014 What is the shipmate ap? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They have an app for each cruise line. I'm sure they're also available for iOS, too. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=shipmate.carnival
EZ4 Posted February 10, 2014 #18 Share Posted February 10, 2014 And don't board a ship without this one. LOL :p https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tseg.android.lipcon
sjcarter407 Posted February 10, 2014 #19 Share Posted February 10, 2014 I know someone who has been banned from that app. LOL Can I ask how? That is crazy! Minnieiowa: it has the stats of every ship from every cruise line. If available, deck cams. It has deck plans that you can download onto your phone so you can view them offline (while of the ship without cell service) it keeps track of who is in your group and has a roll call. It is an amazing app.
EZ4 Posted February 10, 2014 #20 Share Posted February 10, 2014 Can I ask how? That is crazy! They got in a fight with the developer over spamming their FB group in the app forums, I think. They're the only person I have ever heard of being banned from a phone app. LOL

Golfing Dan Posted February 10, 2014 #24 Share Posted February 10, 2014 I just read that there is only one customs line open. It is going really slow. The folks supposed to leave today are being given $20 OBC to pay for lunch. My guess is that they will also get dinner OBC pretty soon. It would stink sitting in that pier waiting for the ship to clear. We were delayed 36 hours out of Galveston in February a few years ago. It was a bad deal. Hope this clears because we are supposed to leave on 2/
