artist47 Posted February 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) Okay, so I've never been so unlucky as to be onboard when this nasty virus breaks out. (Thank you god). But I am happy to report that I was at my local drugstore today and noticed that Lysol now makes a TRAVEL size spray that kills the damn thing. I bought 2 of them for my upcoming cruise. Along with a small pack of travel size wipes for the cabin. Just thought I would throw this out there for others, in case they didn't know. FYI: Most of the alcohol based hand santizers do NOT kill Norovirus. But Lysol does. Hoping that in the future, other companies will make a generic version, in a travel size that is cheaper. Happy Sanitizing and happy cruising. Edited February 11, 2014 by artist47
Love my butler Posted February 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2014 Gonna need more than 2 of them to make a difference on a cruise. Think one per passenger and crewmember and strict 24 monitoring that they use it. Anything less and you aren't much safer than if you didn't have any. P.S. Wash your hands with soap and water, often. Try not to touch common surfaces with your hands. Learn not to rub your eyes, nose, mouth, face with your hands. That advice will work better than a case of Lysol. deladypilot Posted February 11, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2014 Good information to know. I do not have a cruise for a while but next time im in the store I will take a look at it. We always do a quick wipe down of the room.

MCAT48 Posted February 11, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 11, 2014 I love those travel sized cans. I always bring them and spray the cabin from top to bottom! Don't forget the doorknobs and remote!....and light switch!
ErinG Posted February 11, 2014 #6 Share Posted February 11, 2014 I was just looking for that yesterday for our cruise next week! I was at Wal-Mart and they didn't have any small sizes. Guess I will have to check out Walgreens or CVS!! Got lots of wipes though! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
