magandab Posted February 11, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2014 I know that nobody can say for sure, but can I get some educated opinions about which nights will be formal nights on this cruise? http://www.hollandamerica.com/find-cruise-vacation/CruiseDetails.action?destCode=E&voyageCode=T450 I am guessing 8/3, 8/7, 8/11 and 8/
sail7seas Posted February 11, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2014 (edited) I would guess August 3, 6, 10 and 14 But your guesses are just as good. Nice itinerary. Should be a great cruise. :) Edited February 11, 2014 by sail7seas
AMPM Posted February 14, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 14, 2014 Usually the formal nights are the at sea days
serendipity1499 Posted February 14, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 14, 2014 (edited) You will never have it on the last sea day so either your dates or Sails dates look good..I would go with 8/6 instead of 8/7 & perhaps 8/13 as it's not a port..However it's up to the Capt. to decide.. Enjoy your cruise.. Edited February 14, 2014 by serendipity1499
GeriatricNurse Posted February 14, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 14, 2014 I know that nobody can say for sure, but can I get some educated opinions about which nights will be formal nights on this cruise? http://www.hollandamerica.com/find-cruise-vacation/CruiseDetails.action?destCode=E&voyageCode=T450 I am guessing 8/3, 8/7, 8/11 and 8/14 This question is often asked here on the HAL CCB. I am just wondering what difference it would make to know which specific nights are formal nights on a cruise before embarkation? ( And I don't 'do' formal nights)! ;)
magandab Posted February 14, 2014 Author #6 Share Posted February 14, 2014 The reason I like to know is because we enjoy formal nights in the MDR and also enjoy eating in the Pinnacle. I book our Pinnacle reservations ahead and try not to make those reservations for formal nights.
tigger-ttfn Posted February 15, 2014 #7 Share Posted February 15, 2014 1st time on HAL so how many formal nights on a 9 night cruise. going in May to Canada. Thanks
sail7seas Posted February 15, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 15, 2014 A nine night cruise would likely be two formal nights. It has been HAL's pattern to have three formal nights on a ten night cruise and four on a fourteen night cruise. :)
