OBP(On Board Party) Cocktail Party

We are on the Sunshine April 6. We had a Cocktail Party booked before the old price change 19.95 per person and the new price is 44.00 per person for two hours unlimited drinks. Have heard a lot of rumors that they are now limiting you to a couple types of drinks. Has anyone had one and any information would be great. Thanks

the party we had was fantastic on Sunshine. We had the Limelight Lounge because we had 130 people attending. We left the bar double fisted several times.

 

We had a raffle for 5 a ticket. We had over 700 in the pot. The winner got 400 and the 2 winner go 200. We gave the rest to the servers. They were quick to take care of us when they realized they make about 30 a piece.

 

Best time on the ship. We got ours before they went up on the prices and only for an hour. Well worth the money

I haven't been to a party since the price change, but all the ones I have been too I always tipped on every round. (my GF used to be a waitress, so now I have to tip well everywhere we go or I get the stink eye) The servers all became very tentative when our glasses got low :)

 

Back when we had last night parties, the server actually emptied 2 (two) trays of drinks at our table of 5... weee!

Been involved in these parties before and the pricing depends on the food provided. The base I believe for 2 hours is $20.00 for unlimited drinks (bar liquor)with dry snacks. Last trip we had pretzels and gold fish crackers. You can add nuts/hot and cold food like roll ups. Then the cost goes up fast pp. I suppose if you allow any liquor to be specified then you could double the pp cost. I will add the drinks were limited in type, most being foo foo mixed drinks. No shots or fancy blender drinks.

I bet the crew loved these parties. I know the ones I have attended we tipped like crazy. Now that the price has more than doubled we won't be doing anymore. So I'm sure the crew loses out on some serious cash too.
