SnowshoeCat Posted February 13, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 13, 2014 There is a little group of OV cabins on deck 3, port side, that look like they're just off the Centrum. Could someone tell me what they're like? It looks like they're in a convenient location, but not if it's noisy from the Centrum, or from the casino above. Thanks! Rare DragonOfTheSeas Posted February 13, 2014 #2 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Explorer does not have a centrum. It has a royal promenade. That is not on the third deck.
SnowshoeCat Posted February 13, 2014 Author #3 Share Posted February 13, 2014 Okay, I didn't think that sounded right. Anyway, it's an area with circular looking stairs, pretty centrally located. So what is this area, and any thoughts on the cabins?
138east Posted February 13, 2014 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2014 The rooms you are referring to are tucked away on a dead end corridor behind the port elevators. I've never stayed there, but I have explored that hallway to see what was there. It has super easy access to the aft elevators which will take you to the venues you frequently access. The corridor should not be affected by the Casino. If I were ever to select an OV, I would look at that corridor. Most of the cabins are connecting cabins. The only down side to it would be that it is near the entrance to the MDR, so it will be crowded just before early and late dinner before they open the doors but IMO that's not a big deal. RSGS315 Posted February 13, 2014 #5 Share Posted February 13, 2014 On one of our many family cruises our children and grandchildren stayed on deck 3 in that area. They loved it, as the grandchildren stayed in the connecting cabin, and their parents could leave the door open to keep an eye on them. The location was very convenient and well hidden from the people that were in line to enter Studio B or the dining room. Ginnie
