Favorite Beach?

We'll be visiting St. Maarten on the Explorer of the Seas in a few months. We're visiting Maho for sure (that's part of the reason I booked this particular cruise :) ), but we're like to visit another beach as well.

 

What's your favorite in St. Maarten?

We have been to many beaches in St Maarten/St Martin. This time we finally went up to Grand-Case....we both wish we would have gone sooner. The beach is beautiful. The streets along the beach and the beach are lined with French restaurants and beach bar/restaurants. We WILL be headed back there again for SURE. We took a taxi up, but caught the bus back...I do not recommend the bus though unless you are sure of yourself in foreign ports and leave time for bus stops etc. Taxi would be fine with enough drive time also. If you get there between 9-10 am, you would have plenty of time if you left between 2-3pm. (If your ship leaves at 5 with being back on board at 4:30) We left at 3 and still had 40 min to walk around.

Has anyone driven there from the Port, if so, how safe is the parking or are you able to take a bus that far?

We always drive there and park in the big free parking lot and have never had a problem.
