Deely Posted February 16, 2014 #1 Share Posted February 16, 2014 Sorry if this is a bit of a strange question, but we normally cruise from S'ton so this is not usually an issue, but what do you do about labelling your luggage when you are flying in to join a cruise? As most luggage labels now have to be printed at home and then stapled / taped to your luggage it's not an option to do it at home then check your luggage with an airline, so do you really take a stapler or tape WITH you or will there be a facility at the cruise terminal? We are sailing from Hong Kong if that has any bearing. Many thanks in advance.

Cats2010 Posted February 16, 2014 #3 Share Posted February 16, 2014 What I once did is ask the reception of the hotel where I stayed before boarding. :)

When I arrive at Southampton I either use the stapler of the Cunard staff there or stick the tags together with one of the remaining sticking parts of the airline luggage label. lannp Posted February 16, 2014 #8 Share Posted February 16, 2014 Before I left home, I folded mine and covered them with wide, clear tape and punched a hole in the ends. At the hotel before I left for the pier I just had to attach them with a zip tie.
pmb1 Posted February 16, 2014 #9 Share Posted February 16, 2014 The most important thing to do with your luggage, however you label it, is to photograph it. Having pictures may be the difference between success and failure in locating misplaced or lost luggage.
