Intercontinental Tahiti

Does anyone know if the Intercontinental Tahiti provides beach towels? We know we won't need them for the cruise ship but we will be spending a couple of days pre-cruise at the hotel and just thought "hmmm... what about beach towels". We aren't sure whether we need to pack a couple (that we could leave at the hotel when we check-out.

We were at the IC Tahiti last week. You'll need to sign for the towels at the towel kiosk and return them by 6: PM each night. Yes, only one towel per person.

So what happens if you don't return them by 6pm or do the pools close in the evening?

"Missing towels" will result in a charge to your room. The pools & towel kiosk close at dusk, with minimal lighting around the pool area.

 

The most comfy lounge chairs are those surrounding the main pool area. These are made of "plastic" rattan and have cushions on them. Some have umbrellas in between the lounges for shade. However, it it's windy, they will not allow them to be raised due to safety concerns. If you want shade, look for a tree shaded area or one of the grass huts on the beach. The lounges, along the beach and on the pool's island, are web-strap lounges.
