Insects, creatures, etc

We are going to be going on the Destiny in June. It is my first cruise, hubby's second. Hubby is the adventurous type. I love the scenic views and like looking at the creatures, fish, etc but get freaked out if they touch me.So, I would love to go kayaking, tubing, swimming in the pool, snorkeling, etc but I am scared of the above. I don't know that it would be much of an issue so I thought I would ask those of you that have gone if it is. I am picturing snakes in the water, etc. I can deal with it as long as I am not touching them like I said. Same with snorkeling, as you right up close to the fish or can you look from a distance?? Thanks in advance, I am sure a few of you are laughing LOL.

Looking foward to my FIRST cruise!! Destiny

Hi KathyPem,
I understand your concerns about creatures and such. We werte in Dominica just a week ago. You can read my review about Ken Hinterland's Tours. I too was concerned about what my be joining me in the water. Our guide Kent assured me there were no snakes and that we were perfectly safe. We did not snorkel there. I have snorkeled and scuba dived all through the Caribbean. Sure, the fish may get close to you, especially if fed at a particular site. My advice: don't feed them and you'll be fine. More than likely, fish go about their merry way, leaving you to do the same. Have a great time!
