Freedom of the Seas Onboard Questions

My son is interested in the Flowrider and taking lessons on our cruise in April on the Freedom of the Seas. Can anyone tell me when lessons are usually held and how do I go about signing him up? Is there a charge? Also, I read somewhere that you could have a private session. Again, how much and where do you sign up.
Also, what about events onboard such as wine tasting, pasta making, cup cake decorating....do you sign up for most of these once you board or beforehand?
We sail in April and I know that the week before spring break is bound to be busy so I want to get as much as I can pre booked and have my plan on what to go book as soon as I get onboard! Thanks in advance~!

We did the private lessons for the flow rider and loved it. On our cruise hey we're offered on the port days with different times available. We chose one right at the start of the cruise to be able to benefit from it for the rest of the week.

The cost was $60 pp and they took up to 8 people. It was an hour long and they needed a. I imam of 4 to run it. They gave you your choice of doing stand up or boogie boarding. We were able to book ours on our pre cruise planner but I have also heard that you can sign up on board.
