Disembarkation at Venice

We are scheduled to arrive back at Venice at 08.00 on a Saturday morning. Trying to arrange flights back and there is one at 11.25 hours. Is that enough time to get off the ship at 08.00 and hop into a pre-booked car to Marco Polo airport. Ideally, we would want to be at the airport by 09.25. Just wondered about anybody else's experience in doing this transfer and time taken

It isn't far to the airport, so it shouldn't be a major problem to get there.

 

Be warned that Marco Polo airport is quite small and very busy. Checking in could take longer than you would expect.

Just be aware that in Venice if there happens to be heavy fog in the morning, it can delay the ship's arrival up to couple of hours. I wouldn't book a flight from any port before noon at least, our own return flight from Venice this June leaves at 4pm.

I wouldn't have a problem in taking this flight. You should carry your own bags off and leave first thing. Always have an alternate backup plan.
